Minimum of 3 times a year


  • Terms of Reference

➢   To agree constitutional matters, including procedures where the Governing Body has discretion

➢   To seek to fill vacancies as they arise, directly appointing new Community Governors

➢   To hold at least three Governing Body meetings a year

➢   To appoint or remove the Chair & Vice Chair

➢   To appoint or remove a Clerk to the Governing Body

➢   To establish the Committees of the Governing Body, take recommendations from  them regarding the content of their Terms of Reference and amend/ratify the Committee Terms of Reference at the first meeting of each academic year

➢   To receive minutes of all Committee Meetings held

➢   To appoint or remove a Clerk for each Committee

➢   To suspend or remove a Governor

➢   To decide which functions of the Governing Body will be delegated to committees, groups and individuals, and review these annually

➢   To approve the first formal budget plan of the financial year

➢   To ensure that the Committees are up to date with the review of school policies and practice
