Membership: All Governors & Clerk
Regularity of Meetings: Minimum of 3 times a year
Terms of Reference:
- To agree constitutional matters, including procedures where the Governing Body has discretion
- To seek to fill vacancies as they arise, directly appointing new Community Governors
- To hold at least three Governing Body meetings a year
- To appoint or remove the Chair & Vice Chair
- To appoint or remove a Clerk to the Governing Body
- To establish the Committees of the Governing Body and their Terms of Reference
- To receive minutes of all Committee Meetings held
- To appoint or remove a Clerk for each Committee
- To suspend or remove a Governor
- To decide which functions of the Governing Body will be delegated to committees, groups and individuals, and review these annually
- To approve the first formal budget plan of the financial year
- To ensure that the Committees are up to date with the review of school policies and practice.
