Cross Fell enjoyed a fantastic trip out to Carlisle castle on Thursday to enhance their history learning. We were really excited to have a tour of the castle with our guide Matthew and enjoy some dressing up fun. Our trip really inspired us, bringing what we had learnt in the classroom to life and it made us curious to learn more about the past and changes that had happened in our local area.
We loved learning about the different ways of life in the castle and how it had changed over time. Matthew our guide was not only really impressed with our fantastic behaviour on our tour of the castle but also with our historical vocabulary as we talked about the similarities and differences that we could see between life now and then.
A great trip out for everyone involved!
