Training
All staff, employed at Alston Moor Federation, undertake accredited Level 1 Safeguarding Training annually and refresher training throughout the academic year. As per statutory procedure, all employees also complete Prevent Training every two years. In addition to this, as part of their CPD, all staff complete other relevant training, relating to safeguarding and child protection, at regular intervals throughout the year. The designated safeguarding team all have Level 2 and 3 Safeguarding Training. Our DSL has completed a wide variety of further courses including Child on Child Abuse, Assessing Suicide in Kids and Encompass.
