Throughout Alston Primary, we have voted and chosen these activities for World Book Day 2024 on Thursday 7th March...
Children will visit the library with their class, help decorate the classroom door from their chosen book or author, enjoy hot chocolate and a biscuit during Reading Buddies and share a photo of themselves reading in an extreme way. Prizes will be given out for the most extreme (but safe) way. Staff are reading bedtime stories (look out for videos) and trying to trick the children with a guess who is reading photo quiz.
Also to mark our celebrations of World Book Day, the Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to our school from March 18th 2024. The book fair is arriving on the Monday and will be open for parents to view 19th and 20th March, 3.30 - 4.30pm. All our Primary Classes will visit the Book Fair during the week.
