This term, an over-arching theme across Year 10 & 11 Citizenship lessons has been the concept of Human Rights. Students have learnt all about the origins of human rights, explored a wide range of contemporary issues across different media sources, and took part in a structured class debate. The final activity was a secret ballot to vote on which right from the 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights' is most important today. The article with the most votes was Article 1- We are all born free and equal, closely followed by Article 4- Freedom from slavery.
