Just a reminder that we will be collecting reading diaries in the morning to tick off and move cars along the reading race track.
We move the cars for every 1 read per day so please keep writing in those reading diaries. It can be stories shared or stories that the children have read to you.

Race to read
Launching today race to read! We will collect all reading records today to award any dojos from Christmas then start the challenge.
Each Monday we will collect diaries and move the cars along the track with 7 moves possible a week.
We will post a picture each week to show progress! Good luck…
We are illustrators!
Just before Christmas we each drew a monster to be included in the young writers book ‘Monster Mayhem’. We have received a certificate to mark this achievement and all children will bring a letter home tonight to give permission for their artwork to be published. Well done Cross Fell!

A lovely last day of term, a picture quiz where children worked with their partner putting phonic knowledge into practice even on the last day! A special visitor (Santa) who was made to feel very welcome, such excitement about the books they received, children wanted to take them to lunch, outside…
Building our love of reading - unwrapping one book at a time!
Our Advent calendar is nearing it's end and we have loved hearing a different Christmassy themed story each day, it really has helped to spread a little joy and helped to continue to build our love of reading.
